Enjoy snowshoeing in Paljakka with its beautiful snow loaded trees and sounds of nature.

In the winter of 2024-2025, as a guaranteed departure on Mondays at 10 a.m. as part of the Paljakka’s Weekly (December 27, 2024-March 31, 2025).

The route passes through diverse types of forest with the highlight of walking in one of the oldest spruce forests in Europe. During the tour we will climb to the summit of Paljakka Hill and enjoy a picnic lunch by an open fire before descending to Paljakka lowlands.

This snowshoeing tour will start with meeting the guide first in Safari Kitchen & Bar restaurant and then getting the equipment sorted. There will be a brief information session about snowshoeing before heading to the snow-white trail.

This program is available as guaranteed departures. Guaranteed departure means that the program will take place, even if there is only one person enrolled.

If you want to rent winter clothes (thermal overall, with or without the set of shoes, gloves, and balaclava), please contact our local safari company Safari Finland. Winter wear rentals are subject to availability – early bookings for winterwear rentals recommended.

Advance bookings, latest by 6 pm on the previous day (on Sunday). Please note that there must be a reservation eventhougt the departure is guaranteed – the tour will be filled in order of registration (subject to availability).

Please remember to dress warmly according to the weather. We recommend you wear warm and comfortable outdoors wear and warm winter shoes.
