Welcome to dog sledding and kennel visit! We are open daily by advanced bookings. in the winter of 2024-2025 this programme is also available as guaranteed departure on Wednesdays as part of the Paljakka’s Weekly (December 27, 2024-March 31, 2025), at 12 am (mid December – mid January / at 3 pm (mid Jan – March)

The programme includes dog cuddling and photography, we talk about dog care and our everyday life at the husky farm. Dog sledding skills are not needed during our farm visit. To ensure the safety of you and our dogs, we take care of driving the dog sled, and as our customer you can enjoy the snowy forest sitting on a sleigh. We drive about 2 km loop.

In the atmospheric little cottage you can warm up in the warmth of the fireplace and enjoy a hot drink, juice/mulled wine/coffee and a sweet snacks.

Prices: 69 € / adult, 49 € / child*.  The price includes

• visit to the husky farm
• dog sledding, in a sledge (approx. 2 km)

• Winter wear

If you want to rent winter clothes (thermal overall, with or without the set of shoes, gloves, and balaclava), please contact our local safari company Safari Finland. Winter wear rentals are subject to availability – early bookings for winterwear rentals recommended.

Please tell us if you are booking: a guaranteed departure or a private husky programme. In both options please enter the date, time and number of people taking part in the programme.

Meeting place:

Our husky farm is located along Hoikanvaarantie, which runs through the Paljakka holiday resort (towards Puolanka), on the right side of the road, about 3.5 km (5 min driving) from Paljakka. We meet there.

What will you need to bring? Clothing / equipment recommended:
Please remember to dress warmly according to the weather. We recommend you wear warm and comfortable outdoors wear and warm winter shoes.
