Reindeer herding came to Finland thousands of years ago. In Finland, reindeer husbandry is practiced through a system of reindeer herding areas. Paljakka area belongs to the most southern reindeer herding area in Finland. During the reindeer farm visit, you will enjoy the beautiful surroundings of winter nature, learn about this traditional livelihood of Northern Finland and get a chance to feed the reindeers. The farm is located 45 min drive from Paljakka resort center.
